Subtask templates not accessible by project users

When trying to create subtasks from templates project users get the following message

• subtask templates is requesting access to atlassian account 

when we click to provide access it redirects and provides the following message

• subtask templates is requesting access to your atlasssian account

when we accept and authorize it finally gives the following error

Error: Expected reject to be called with Error, got (object Undefined)

Templates aren't usually native functionality.

Is this related to an App you're using? If so, which one? If not, where are you getting the templates from?
