Is it possible to set default text based on issue type?

Question

I wish to have the description populate by default with different text for some issue types when creating them.

For example: When trying to create a bug, have the description default text to be nothing and "something, text text"  when creating a story.

Is it possible?

But this I think will populate the field only after creation.

I need the text to be in the field when you press the 'CREATE' button

Hi, @Hadas Hamerovv Yes, it is possible. By using different workflows based on the issue type, and then add a post function. JSU allows  'Update any Issue Field' post-function, which updates any field to a specified value - for custom fields in your case.

In my case, I wanted to have default text in the description and I tried with the workflow and was able to achieve it. Be clear and experiment with the configuration setup (precondition, field values, update fields, etc,.)
