Suitable Jira Sales Template

Question

Hello,

I'm looking for a template that would be a cross between a service project with internal and external communications and a business/software project with a kanban board.

I want to use it for sales to communicate with customers but also allow for internal discussions while providing a visual where each ticket is within the workflow.

The Sales Pipeline doesn't allow for internal/external communication.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Pete Piro

You'll need a Jira Service Management Project for external communication.

You can add a Board to a Jira Service Management Project though if required:

* Go to the search bar in the top-right
* Select Boards at the bottom of the iFrame which appears
* Press the Create board button
* Choose to create a Kanban Board
* Select Board from an existing Project
* Give it a name, select your JSM Project, and give it a location
* Create the board

Note: The only limitation here is the location must be a Jira Software Project - so you'd need to locate it under another Project, or create a dummy JSW Project to house it.

Or, the alternative is to keep Service Management, and internal task management Projects, separate.

This is my preference. Plus, you can still...

* Have Issues from both Projects on the same board, by modifying the filter (assuming they're both Company-managed, and the internal Project is a Software type)
* Link Issues together, to show dependencies
* Automate the passage of data between tickets using Automation - for example...* Create an internal task to fix a customer bug, when raised on the portal
* Send a customer a comment when an internal task is complete
* ...etc
