How can I introduce the rule

Hi,
I would like all the tasks in my project to be automatically created in status TO DO instead of BACKLOG.
Unfortunately, I cant just edit the workflow as the project template is shared with other projects.
However, I can't find a filed "STATUS" in the automation rules.

Would appreciate the support here.

Yes offcourse. you need to create an automation rule to transition the issue
