I just created my Atlassian account. The JIRA GUI is in French. I understand French very well but I want JIRA in English. I changed the language to English on the preferences screen but the JIRA screens and menus are still all in French. How to you change the JIRA screens language ?

Go to your profile menu (icon near the top right is actually a menu) and choose account settings -> account preferences.
You can change your language settings in there.
