Automate Fix Version based on Due Date

I want to have the fix version auto populate by extracting the "YYYY-MM" from the due date. Eg: if the due date is 2022/02/15 then I want the fix version to be updated as 2022-02. I tried doing it using smart values, the audit log says success but the field value is not updated.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

I have reproduce this issue and to resolve this issue you need to create a version first in your project like 2022-01,2022-02 ..... 2022-12. I have tested this with description field same you can do this with due date

If this version is not present in the project already then it will not work.

If this version already present then automation rule will pick it up as per due date.
