Claim Accounts

Question

Hi all

I have quite a few accounts that I have to claim, but these accounts 90% have personal free trello boards, so I don't want to start paying for those trello accounts but only for the users that I decide will have access to Jira, is it possible to claim those accounts without paying for those trello boards?

regards,

my organization will be paid for those accounts with trello?

Hello Johnattan,

I have been pondering the exact same question.  I found the following quote from support:

Besides the email notification that goes out after you claim the account to let them know that their account is now managed (as covered in the doc you linked) there are no changes to end users experience, with the exception that they will no longer be able to change their account's email address or permanently delete their account. After you have claimed the accounts, your organization is the administrator of those accounts and you can make those changes on behalf of users.

So, it seems that you, and me, will not end up paying for our users' other accounts.  The full article is here: Solved: Claim Accounts (atlassian.com).

Cheers,
Cole.
