I cannot create new Jira Software projects

Hi,

During the last few days I tried different ways to create a new Jira Software project but I always get the same error message: " For some reason, the magic didn't happen. Click Create to try again." .

I am both site and products administrator and I'm in all 'administrators', 'jira-admins-team-XXXXX' and 'site-admins' groups, and I see that I have product administrator functions for Confluence and for Jira Administration as well, but only User option is avaliable here for the other two prodcuts (Jira Software and Jira Service Management). But the way I can create new Desk projects with JSM tool.

Could you provide indications to solve this?

It almost sounds like you don't have a Jira Software license anymore. You would still have all Admin functionality since it sounds like you have a Service management license.

Since you are a site administrator, I'd take a quick look at your product access groups for Jira Software, then make sure your user is a member of one of those groups.

Hi Jimmy, thanks for your prompt answer.

We have 5 groups with access to the Jira Software product, I am a user in all those groups, which include:

administrators
jira-admins-team-XXX
jira-software-users-team-XXX
site-admins
and one self-created

I have a similar group access configuration for Jira Service Management and I can create new JSM projects, but not for JS developement projects.

One difference I noticed here is that the JSM group is 'jira-service-management-users-NAME_ORGANIZATION but for Jira Software the group name is 'jira-software-users-XXXX', but this is just a label right?

Any further advices?

I saw that you created a ticket with our support related to this issue.

I went ahead and checked the logs and there are many different errors, so our support team will probably try to replicate the issue to better filter the logs to see exactly what is happening at the time the project is created.

One of the errors is the one below that, on a similar ticket was related to the Language of the site being other than English, so while our team is investigating, if your site is not in English, you can try changing and creating the project to test.

Hi Angelica,

I have changed my profile language to English US, and checkec in the System preference that both Indexing and Default language are in both cases English US.

I also asked my team collegues to to the language change in their accounts.

After logged out and then log in back again, the problem when trying to create a JS project persists.
