I want to remove a user who was working on the project but is no more working on it.
It depends on how you are sharing. It is likely that you are sharing the board and the project based on a group or role. In that case you need to remove the individual from that group what role.
First start by editing your board by clicking on the… In the upper right corner and going to the general tab under board settings. In the general tab you will see edit filter shares link, click that and then look at the details of your filter and how your share is set up . If you do not see the… It may be that you are on a non-editable board in which case forget the step and simply remove the user from the project. To remove a user from the project go to project settings then permissions observe what group or roles you have configured for browsing the project. Again remove the user from this group/role. If you are using a TMP project go to project settings then people and remove the user from the project.
In JIRA server,
Go to Settings (Cog button) at left bottom. Open View Project Roles, search the user and click remove.
