Resolution of Edit Issue field is updating automatically to Done status.

Question

I observed a weird change in Jira server that Resolution has been updated automatically to Done status. when I edited the story points field of an issue.
Can you please provide your suggestions on how to control it from being updating Resolution field to done on Issue edit.

(This change I observed in Jira server)

FYI.. Resolution field is a editable one.

Please re-read the last sentence in my answer.

The view screen doesn't actually matter - Jira will always display the resolution, whether you have it on the view screen or not.

Is it good to remove resolution field from Create and Edit screen of the project?

Shall I be keep the Resolution field on View screen?

I confirm that hosting type is  JIRA Server.

There are no Automation rules applied for the project.

Yup I'm site admin.
