Hi I am new to jira product, I came across automation template. So my question is can we use this automation template for both jira server and cloud?

Automation for Jira is free with Jira Cloud - with some restrictions. But you will need to get the add-on for Jira Server.
There is a free version (with limitations) calle Automation Lite and a fully functioning paid version called Automation Pro.
