CSV import does not import comments and attachments

Question

Hi,

I'm trying to import issues from one project to another. First I exported all issues in a CSV file and then tried to import them into the desired project. Issues were created but with no comments and attachments.

I've tried to import the following simple CSV as well but was not able to import any comment or attachment.

Assignee, Summary, Description, Attachment, Comment
, Issue demonstrating the CSV attachment import, Please check the attached image below., someURL,01/01/2012 10:10;Admin; This comment works

What am I missing here? Why am I not able to get comments and attachments?

Hello @Jack Brickey i am facing exactly the same issue regarding attachment and i couldn't find a solution. jira won't find/recognise/link the field "attachments" from csv to jira "attachments" (see seconf before last image above).

Can you please suggest another solution?

Tried it. First, it gave me an error that the Description is not given so, I added a column and set the following mappings

can you try the below where issue abc-123 exists? Do you get any errors?

Issue Key Summary Attachment abc-123 testing attachmenthttps://xxxxxxxxxx

where https://xxxxxxxxxx is the accessible url to your attachment. if you paste the url into browser is it accessible?
