Not able to set assignee using POST /issue REST call.

The issue gets created unassigned.
Can you please suggest how can I set the assignee?

Im creating an issue with Atlassian.JIRA SDK.

while assigning the assign with accountID the jira ticket assignee field is not getting updated to the issue. please find the below sample code.

Eg : Sample code:

Issue issue = jira.Issues.GetIssueAsync("TID").Result;
issue .Assignee = "accountid-XXXXX" ;
issue .AssignAsync( "accountid-XXXXX");
Issue issue1 = issue .SaveChangesAsync().Result;

The above code is NOT updating the issue assignee.
