Approval option missing

I see an approvals option in our project workflow but when I make a copy of the workflow, to change things around, that option is not there.

How do I add that to the copied workflow?

Oh, so we cant mess with the approval options unless the workflow is applied to the project?

Associate a Copied Workflow with JSM Project. You will be able to see the Approval Workflow.
