Are there any mandatory minimum fields for a screen?

I created a screen with Summary and Reporter fields only and replaced the Scrum Issue Type Screen Scheme in the project. But the screen depicts many other fields. Are there any minimum fields (system fields) which need to be there? What happens to issues with additional fields, which were there prior to replacement of the Scrum Issue Type Screen Scheme. Pls. suggest

Hi Vinay,

There are typically 4 minimum fields that are required when you create a new issue on most projects: project, summary, issue type, and reporter.

You can require more by editing the Field Configuration scheme for the project if you like.

Minimum number of required field define:

- Field Configuration Scheme - you can set there fields require in project

- validators on transition - you can set there fields required on certain transition (very important on create transition and create screen).

If you switch Screen Scheme to other with less fields it won't clear fields in issue. It will only hide fields from screens. Values will be searchable and you will able to display it on filter/search.
