External Application/Automation to Replicate Work Logged Events

Hello! I am looking to for a mechanism using either JSM automation or via an external application (i.e. ACE) to catch a work logged event for a specific project, look up or use a table of information to find another project and essentially replicate the work logged event there.

I have tried all sorts of automation options to avoid having to create an ACE application.  After running out of ideas I create an ACE application which worked fine in test/development but is failing when trying to launch to production.

Either way, is anyone aware of a way to perform the task using just automation?  If not, is an ACE application required or would a generic web application hosted somewhere else (i.e. GPC, Digital Ocean etc.) work?

Just a short update, I found a semi-workable solution but it cannot handle situations where the work log was updated/deleted.  This means that if anyone enters the a work log that there has to be a manual adjustment.  While that should be a less often occurrence it does open the door to human error etc.

My hope was that in a work logged event when type was deleted/updated I would get a field/value indicating what the original value was and what the updated value is.  That way I could edit the other tickets and update the time tracking but there isn't anything that I can find telling me what the original value was.

There are other options I tried without success as well (field changed events etc.) so it looks like for now the automation route isn't an option.  Looked at using Forge but quickly realized that it doesn't support JSM at this time which brings me back to my original issue with launching a production ACE application.
