Board columns out of order

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Working with boards

I've just setup a workflow and assigned it to a workflow scheme. Everything works great except the columns on the board are out of order. The issues drag to the appropriate status columns but because of the order one is skipped and then one step takes an issue backwards. How can I fix this?

For reordering your board's columns:

Go to your board and click on the cog icon from the top right corner > Configure
configure.png
Click on Columns and drag & drop the columns to the correct order:
