Hello,
I read this support :
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/advanced-field-editing-json/
I entered the 1st example in my automation and an error was displayed :
Additional fields contains invalid 'update' operations for field 'description'. You can use 'add', 'remove', 'set' or 'edit' for operations.
I do not understand

Estelle Decanis
Hi @Bill Sheboy and @Prashant Sultania
Thank you for your answers.
Here the automation :
There is no log. Automation cannot be recorded.
Kind regards,
Estelle
Hello @Estelle DecanisWelcome to the Atlassian Community !!The error you are getting is because you didn't declared the operators/operations. For Example: If you go through the same URL you have shared in the question. If you see the example then you will find that operators/operations are declared in the JSON (screenshot below).
If you see the highlighted (first red arrow) in the above screenshot then you have to declare the operators/operations which you need to perform. After the operations are declared then you have to declared the allowed values (second red arrow). Once you have declared both the values then you will be able to update the description (in your case).
Let me know in case of any further help.
Thanks,Prashant Sultania

Hi @Estelle Decanis -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Would you please post an image of your automation rule and of the audit log containing that error message? That will provide context for the community to offer you suggestions. Thanks!
Kind regards,Bill
I wanted to reproduce the example to start handling Json. In fact the automation must relate to the addition of a link. Automation is running fine
I wanted to add display text instead of url address, for example :
"Text display": "The Atlassian site"
But I cannot add this precision
Thanks for that information, Estelle.
It seems you have the JSON part figured out, and are also asking about the text formatting. If so, you may want to look over this information: https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/WikiRendererHelpAction.jspa?section=all
To do what you ask, please try this:
{ "fields" : { "document link" : "[The Atlassian site|https://www.atlassian.com/]" }}
Hello @Estelle Decanis If you want to change the description then there are few points to remember, that you have to use set to update the description, similarly to add the comment we have to use add.Every fields have different operations/operators. Let me know in case of any further help.
