Setting up sandbox

Just upgraded to Premium and I want to use sandbox. I went to create a new project and one of the options was import. I selected to import my jira cloud and it asked me to do my backup. Then download back up. No problem yet.

I go to import and tells me that when I import it will overwrite everything. Does this mean that it will overwrite my sandbox which is currently empty with my jira cloud?
Does it mean that it will overwrite my jir cloud with what I just backed up?
Did I back up my Jira cloud or my sandbox?
