Unable to see linked defects on XRay Test Execution Report

Question

Hi,

I have created test cases for a test plan and a test execution.

When I view the Test Execution List Report or the Test Plan List Report under Testing Board, I am unable to see the defect counts for my test execution or test plan. It is always showing count as 0. I have linked the defect to test case being executed.

Need your help in this regard.

Hi Rogério Paiva - Xray Xporter,

I don't see finding Sections on My test Executions in JIRA. I need away to add defects to at Test Execution level instead of Test level. Is it Possible? Below is the structure I am looking for?

The Defect Count is based on the Defects "linked" to the Test Runs (the actual run of the Tests, inside a Test Execution) in the Test Run Execution screen:

This "link" is not a Jira Link; it is a relationship that is established in Xray between the Defect and the Test Run information.

So when using a Test Plan Report, it fetches that associated Test Executions to get the associated Test Runs and count the associated Defects. It is these defects that are shown in the report. It does not count the Jira Linked defects; this can be used for other purposes but is not counted by Xray as the Defects Count.

If you want a defected to be counted, you need to open the Test Run execution screen and add the Defect using the option "Add Defects" (either in the Findings section or in the Test details).
