How do I change the shape of the cards in 'Active Sprints' View?

Since I started using Jira, the cards were being displayed in the square layout. The columns too weren't this stretched out but today suddenly the cards became rectangular and stretched out (see the attachment below)

can anyone please tell me how to revert back to the original layout??

They have recently rolled out this different new look that provides a horizontal scroll bar. To the best of my understanding it is not as yet configurable
