How To Customize A Report Based off Specific Users

Question

Hello,

I had a department manager request I create a report that shows all of the requests sent to IT by his team.

Essentially, he wants to know which individuals are sending IT ticket requests(does not matter what type of request, but a general numerical value if that makes sense).

Any who, currently I can only create reports based off a ticket type but the report is global, meaning I cannot filter out the specific users to the department.

Hi Nando,

You can create a dashboard and add a two-dimensional filter gadget that will show the breakout of reporter vs. issue type.

No, the pie chart cannot provide both the distribution of issues per reporter and the distribution between Created and Resolved per user.

Do you also have Confluence? In Confluence there is a macro called Jira Charts that will enable you to create a table based on a Jira filter and you can set the X and Y axis of that table to Status and Reporter.

Again, though, note that this is pulling data live from Jira. If the person viewing the page doesn't have access to see all the issues that will be contained in the report, then the macro may not display properly for them. You might have to export the page and provide the output to the manager directly.

Thank you for your response, yes this is regarding a service management project. Within the project, there are reports(e.g. created vs resolved, etc.), but I am unable to isolate/single out a user.

Are the pie charts able to provide that sort of data?
