Why status of workflow stuck ?

I try to create simple workflow with approval which is not working. Idea is the following:

 

1. User create request and select requested databases (custom field) from select list.

If in the list user select dbname-Prod it's should go to waiting for approval step if he is selecting any other databases without word Prod it will go then to waiting for support status.

I did configure validation for this field with regex and created 2 transactions, but ticket always stuck on status approve.

So is the issue that the transition is not automatically occurring when the issue was created? In other words are you wanting the issue to transition to a different status depending on the value of the custom field at the time of issue creation? If that is the case I recommend using automation to force the transition to the right status
