retrieve objects under jira objects schema via API

Hello everyone!

I have an insights schema created with different objects. I want to retrieve the list of  objects under a parent category via the API but unable to get the list, only the category names with their attributes.

 

I have tried those URI

https://api.atlassian.com/jsm/insight/workspace/xxx/v1/objectschema/3

/jsm/insight/workspace/xxx/v1/objectschema/3/attributes

/jsm/insight/workspace/xxx/v1/objectschema/3/objecttypes/flat

 

 

combined with the following query parameters

{

  "extended": "true",

  "includeChildObjectTypes": "true",

  "includeChildren": "true",

  "includeObjectCounts": "true"

}

but none returned the list

if anyone could help, thank you for your assistance!

Hi Alex,

I understand that you are looking to find a list of objects within insight using the REST API.  In your case, I think that using the endpoint of GET /jsm/insight/workspace/{workspaceId}/v{version}/iql/objects  would be more appropriate for what you are looking for.

This endpoint allows you to use an IQL query to search for these objects.  More details on the syntax/formatting can be found over in Use Insight Query Language (IQL).

Try this and let me know if you run into any problems with this approach.
