Issue resolved fire event in workflow

Hi,

As per the workflow I see a condition as well as the post function as below :

resolveissue.title and resolveissue.resolve

function:Fire a Issue Resolved event that can be processed by the listeners.

For a particular ticket the ticket was reopened and moved back to Open.

we cannot see the other statuses other than Resolve Issue..

Can anyone help me understand this..

The events and status are not directly related.

A Status is an indicator of where an issue is in a process (workflow) and an Event is an announcement that something has happened.

Your issue resolved event is an announcement that your issue has been through a transition.

The "issue resolved" name you are seeing on it is the type of event. It has nothing to do with the status directly. I am guessing you are thinking that "issue resolved" should have something to do with the status "resolved", and then assuming that there would be events related to other status, but that is not right.

So, I'm a little lost on what you are expecting when you say "we cannot see other status" - do you mean you are expecting to see events matching each status? Or you're not offered status other than Open when you try to re-open an issue?

Hi Nic,

I mean to say that, as per the workflow the transition are from Open to In progress and In progress to other statuses.. But the ticket was Reopened and have moved back to Open status ,now i can only see the Resolve Issue no other statuses.

So that has nothing to do with events or workflow properties.

Your workflow is built to only let you move from the current status through "resolve issue". It either has no transitions from the current status to others except the "resolve issue" transition, or if it does have others, they have conditions on them that are disallowing you from using them.

Have a look at your workflow, looking to:

Work out how to match conditions if they're blocking a transition you want to use
Amending conditions if they're incorrect
Add transitions if they're missing
