There is no possibility to add comment in the screen

Ireneusz Jaszczak

Can anybody tells me - Why all screens has possibilty to add comment:

BUT this one not!

To be honest this behavior it suits me, but I would like to have control on that. Especially when I'm reading that this is always added to the screen and user cannot switch this off and in another case I couldn't switch this comments off.

I don't like magic, so please help me to understand why this is like that and can I control this behavior?

Tell me please what info you need from me, and I will provide to you all needed info.

My guess here is that your re-open transition does not have an associated screen. To have a screen pop up on the transition there needs to be a screen associated to the transition. If you edit the workflow under project settings and double click on the transition between the two statuses you will see a pop up where you can associate a screen.

@Ireneusz Jaszczak Jack is right it is possible that you do not have a transition screen and in case you do and you are still unable to see comment screen then it is possible that someone has hide the comment box using workflow properties so check the Workflow properties for that transition

Add any field which is relevant to this screen , comment box will automatically come while you transition issue to reopen

Nope it's not working.

I don't know if this is relevant in this problem, but transition is from CLOSED to Waiting for Support, and on status CLOSED I have properties:

I suspect it is the last property being false. You are not allowing comments on closed issues.

Ireneusz Jaszczak

Correct, but I'm not blocking in transition to Wating for Support.

Transition should be beyond status properties, but maybe you are right and it's bug in Jira flow. I will check.

Ireneusz Jaszczak

You are right.

I was thinking, that possibility to comment is taken from transition, not from the status.

Maybe it is, but I don't know how can I change this properties in transition, to check if that will work.

After removing properties from the CLOSED status, comment field appears in transition, but in status CLOSED in ticket also. This is what I don't want to.

Ticket Closed has to be not editable, no comment possible, in transition to Waiting for Support, should be editable and comment should be possible to add.

After transition it is in status Waiting for Support, so problem is in transition, I hope.
