Connect Jira Cloud with self hosted Gitlab

Hi Community,

Is it possible to connect a jira cloud with a self hosted gitlab?

For example: I want to use the Automations and want to change a ticket status after review in gitlab is approved.

Is it possible without using a expensive app for this?
