How can add a link to a page which doesn't yet exist? I remember that in previous versions, one would have been allowed to select a text add a link like "sub-link-page", and if the page wouldn't yet exist it would be created and linked successfully.
It is still possible in the new editor, but currently only by typing in the link - you can't use a slash command or the toolbar to do it.

this feature that was so simple before it is much more complicated now because you have to put the (). why do we invent complicated solutions like this. it tokk me 30 minutes to figure out how to insert such a link.
It's a shame how basic functionality has been ruined. I'd like to look into the eyes of the product manager who has decided to do this.Like this:
Was this ever resolved? I would think that such a basic functionality should be top priority :-/
It seems as of end of Feb 2025 this has been solved by implementing the /Create command - see attachment below ⬇️
