Release selects no cards and no cards are moved from the done column - JIRA NEXTGEN

Should the release move 'done' cards of the board? I created a release with a 2 month date range and nothing was moved off done coloumn?

For a Team Managed project Kanban board, the Done column displays issues resolved in the last 14 days. Based on my experimentation, it does not appear to matter if the issues are in a Released version or not.
