How to get content part from several pages and synthesize them into one ?

unknown

Hello guys,

I would like to list in one page all the business rules contained in several pages.

For example, using a tag on several paragraphs and then use this same tag to list these paragraphs in a single page or something else..

Do you have any clue ?

Thanks

Mat

Hi @[deleted],

If you have your data organized in a tabular form (multiple row tables), you may use the Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app to collect information throughout your Confluence instance.

Here is a step-by-step example of a similar use case, please take a look.

Maybe you'll be interested in a live demo - we are always glad to show even more handy tips.

Hi @Katerina Kovriga _Stiltsoft_

Thanks for answering so quickly.

But my data is organized in paragraphs. Each paragraph is a business rule that I want to tag from one or more business departments.

So, in the overview page, I would like to display the business rules, business department after business department in a table or list.

If I well understood your link, I should split my business rules into tables according to the business department. I can't split my content in this way, each page content follow use cases logic.

My purpose would be :

From these pages, such as :

____________________________________

*Page #A

BRule #1 : paragraph(xxxxxx) Tag: accounting

BRule #2 : paragraph(xxxxxx) Tag: customers services, accounting

----------------------------------

*Page #B

BRule #3 : paragraph(xxxxxx) Tag: accounting

BRule #4 : paragraph(xxxxxx) Tag: IT

____________________________________

To this synthesis :

*Overview page

Accounting BR:

BRule #1 : paragraph(xxxxxx)

BRule #2 : paragraph(xxxxxx)

BRule #3 : paragraph(xxxxxx)

Customer services BR:

BRule #2 : paragraph(xxxxxx)

IT BR:

BRule #4 : paragraph(xxxxxx)

____________________________________

I hope this makes my need more understandable

Thanks

Mat

Yeah, you've got the concept quite right - if you organize your data into similar tables with the headings BRule (this column will be for the number of your rule), Paragraph (here will go your text) and Tag (here you can use the Status macro and define the required field), you'll be able to collect your tables into the one big combined report.

Then you'll be able to reuse it several times and filter it by the Tag column - show only the related to this or that Tag business rules.

As I've mentioned before, the tables can have multiple rows - you'll be able to list several BRules related to different tags into one table.

I will try it it.

Thanks Katerina.

If I don't make it, I'd love to have a live demo like you suggested.
