SLA with tempo

Hello,

I have a question about Tempo in combination with a SLA. We want to use different SLA's for every (big) customer we have. Some customers want to have 40 hours SLA time in a year, some want 20 hours. I can't find a good way to integrate this with Tempo. I'm trying to use Accounts but there is no end date fields when the contract is finished. I also want to add a PDF with the signed contract of our customer. What is the best way to handle this?

i'd first of like to ask you to clarify some things cause you lost me a bit as you mention SLA and Tempo which has actually nothing to do with each other.

an SLA is a measurement which will give you a goal of which you need to work towards. If you stay below the goal you're doing good, if you breach the goal it's not that great.

Tempo is a time tracking and planning app.

Do you maybe mean that a customer has 40 or 20 hours (per year) of time that can be worked on their issues?

Yeah that's right. We have a different meaning of SLA . A SLA at us means that the client can have 40 hours per year for support issues. Small features will be payed through the "SLA". I want to track how many hours they have left.

Ik ga het even in het Nederlands doen als je het niet erg vindt. Dan kan ik het wat beter verduidelijken. Onze klanten nemen een soort contract af met een afspraak voor een aantal uren. Deze uren kunnen ze door het jaar opmaken aan kleine toevoegingen. Ik hou nu de uren bij in Tempo accounts maar dit is niet de juiste manier lijkt mij. Het contract heeft dus ook zoals ik zei een einddatum en deze kan al niet invoeren in Tempo. Ik zoek eigenlijk een andere plugin / oplossing maar wil mijn developers het liefst laten werken in Tempo. Snap je mij een beetje?

Zelf doe ik in mijn omgeving iets gelijkaardigs. (al is het dan wel nog op een Datacenter instance).

klant heeft x aantal uren via een contract
developers/support staff werkt op issues en boekt via tempo tijd

aangezien je tijd boekt op een issue, houden wij die ook bij op een ander issue.

Onze manier van werken maakt gebruik van een apart project (Contracts) waar we per klant/per jaar een nieuw issue aanmaken. Daarop hebben een aantal custom field "hours remaining","initial hours"

Wanneer we nu op een gewoon issue voor die klant tijd boeken loopt er een automatisatie (script wel) dat de tijden gaat samen tellen van die klant voor de tijd van het contract en dan dit zal dan het hours remaining gaan invullen.

De "klant" bepalen doen we wel aan de hand van de Accounts. Een contract issue heeft ook een Account gelinkt (tempo) en wanneer we dan tijd boeken op een echt issue doen we dat ook op die account. Zo weten we wat samen hoort.

Op dat issue van contract kunnen we dan ook details bijhouden omtrent start/end date/ contactpersoon/contract/...

Deze tonen we dan in een dashboard oid, zodat we ook steeds een overzicht hebben van de nog openstaande uren per klant/contract.

Dit is het ruwe idee zo wat dat wij gebruiken. De automatisatie op basis van je eigen insteek zal je dan wel even moeten bekijken.
