Hi all,

We have encountered with an issue regarding our costs management.

We wish to understand if it is possible to establish a value to a field, based on the user's role.

For example -

Project Manager - 50$, Developer - 85&, etc.

Our main goal is to be able to export data regarding our team's work log, and check our costs.

Project Manager cost - 50$, log work - 2 hours, Total Cost - 50*2 = 100$.

Do you know a good way to execute these without using an outside plug-in or add-on ?

Time spent * cost per hour.

We have the time report, but we lack the data regarding the costs.

We wish to implement this on the user's role.

Of-course, the ideal is that also we will be able to control the costs visibility (in term of who has permission to view and edit this field).

You will need to find apps to do this for you, there's nothing more complex than simple number fields in plain Jira, you'll want something that can perform calculations (also, Jira does not do "confuse and misinform people by hiding fields" at all, you'll need another app for that)
