How do I process or remove html elements from Jira ticket description?

I use Opsgenie automation to Jira and some users have alerts created using html elements in the body. When these Opsgenie tickets automate tickets to Jira, the html elements are sent to Jira but not processed i.e. it appears as <b><br></br></b>. Is there a way for me to have Jira description identify these elements and either remove or process accordingly?

Hi @jhatol - I would check the field configuration for that project to see if the Description field is using a wiki renderer.

Go to Settings > Issues > Field Configurations

Select the Field Configuration used by your project

Search for the Field in question

The click on Renderers link to the far right.

I do not have an Issues option in my Project Settings. I do see Issue types however and from there are the different fields. No option for Rendering in Description either.
