How to add a link to the Jira Issue Link macro

Question

Hi,

For novice users or people not getting familiar with Confluence I want to put a link while editing a Confluence page to access directly to the "Insert JIRA Issue/Filter" - > "Create New Issue" window.

Instead of writing "/Jira" to open that window I would like to provide users a button to access this window from confluence.

is it possible to do that?

That macro doesn't behave the way you are describing you want:

First, when it's on the page and you click it, it does not edit the current page and change things on it, it takes you off to the "create new page" process via a template.

Second, to get it into the content, you use either /creat... or insert it from the menu.  In other words, to get it, you have to use exactly the same processes as you currently do to use the /jira macro.  You might as well just use /jira

it will be a button like the one tht you can put to "create a confluence page from template" that you can put at any place in the page.

Ok, but that would be page content.  How would Confluence know where to insert the button in your content when you clicked "create" or "edit"?

For "create" though, you could add a sample link into a template, with instructional text, so people know how to edit the link.
