Possible to pull reports that span multiple teams/projects?

I am trying to see if there is a way to pull agile metrics for multiple teams/projects at the same time - for example, pulling metrics/reports for, say, 10 different teams that are part of the same business line but are otherwise completely independent from each other. I know there's not a clear way to do this (at least not from what I can see) but I was wondering if there are any plug-ins or tips for how we can do this. 

To complicate it further, same of these teams are Kanban, some are Scrum. 

We will be moving to Jira Align next year, which I think should make this easier, I'm trying to work out some kind of a stopgap. Might not be possible but thought I'd ask!

Welcome to the community! I noticed your question is a couple of days old, but hopefully still relevant to you. 

I assume you are looking at ways to bring the agile metrics associated with your team's boards together in one place for better and easier reporting across teams. And yes, if you have set up dedicated boards for your teams, that can be a challenging task.

Most of the agile reports (like the velocity chart, the control chart or the cumulative flow diagram) are only available from the board. Yet for some reports a dashboard gadget is available. Examples are:

• the Sprint Burndown Chart
• the Sprint Health gadget
• the Version report gadget

For each of those you can define the sprint or version you would like to include in the chart. If you add separate gadgets for each team, you can take some first steps towards a cross team dashboard.

There is a good chance that this will not meet all of your needs. And so the challenge comes down to using the data you have behind the scenes of your projects and consolidate those into a useful reporting framework. Maybe the acquisition of Chartio that was announced recently may offer some perspective in that area. But in the meantime you would normally best look at a (BI) reporting tool to build custom reports.

If you are already using a BI reporting tool at your company for other reporting purposes, it may also be an option to look into connecting that one to your Jira data. The Atlassian marketplace has several options available to help you set this up.
