We are evaluating Jira: for roadmaps and comparing to Aha! to assess which to pursue.
It seems the primary roadblocks with Jira are the following and am interested to understand if I have overlooked a capability or if sentiment is the same.
* Inability to share externally roadmaps / reports with anyone. You either have to create a static (png) of it, which makes the information immediately stale and high maintenance, or the viewer must have a license. Is there a capability that I've overlooked?
* Aha! allows for viewer/reviewer licenses at no costs which makes it easier for others that don't utilize majority of the capabilities, much quicker to onboard and utilize so that they are consume information, create reports, and collaborate - without impacting budget. For most of all Jira plugins, the cost is based on all users, regardless of whether they utilize the capability. Consider all of the engineering add-ons like cucumber, test management, gitlab, etc that those in account management, marketing, support never benefit from. They use Jira to consume information and they *could* use basic functionality to support their workflows. It becomes very costly for them to adopt. Again, not seeing that there is any license except you are a user or not.
* Aha! has an ideas portal that allows you to provide capabilities for your customers or internal folks to input ideas, vote on existing ideas, proxy vote on behalf of others - this is a great source of input when planning roadmaps as well as communicating to those who submit or vote since you can associated with features and the statuses update. I don't see anything comparable, out of the box, with Jira.
Appreciate anyone's insights on the above as well as your experiences and why, if you did, migrate to Jira or choose Jira over Aha!.
