Is there any way to add bug as child tasks for task or story?
Only option I found is convert bug to sub-task and then add, which I do not want to do because it will change the type and will be difficult if you want to run filter to find added bugs.
Hi @Darshan Rajgor
Natively, your options are:
I prefer Issue Links as it shows that whilst a Bug might be a dependency for a Story, the work to analyse, fix and remedy the Bug is separate - and could be delivered separately depending on its priority or severity (eg. a Story can be completed with a minor defect, a production bug doesn't always get fixed immediately, etc).
I also like to track Bugs / Stories concurrently on a board. The Issue Link effectively makes the Bug a "sibling" of a Story.
If you want to create a more flexible hierarchical view for these issue types, you'll need to consider an app, such as Links Hierarchy for Jira & Agile or Structure.

If you are using a next-gen project you will not be able to do this. You can however link the bug to the issue that you would like to associate it with.
On a classic project you would have to create a new sub-task type of bug (maybe call it bug subtask) and then add it to the issue type scheme associated with the project. Once you do this it would be available in the project as a sub-task.
