Update text custom field when create new bitbucket branch via jira ticket

Hello,

is there a way to update a custom field in jira ticket level once I create new branch in bitbuck via the 'Development' field in Jira.

I want this filed to store the branch name (if possible the repository as well) once the developer choose to open new branch and doing this via the 'Development' filed option.

It’s possible to use automation to update a field when a Branch is created.

I created one here to update the description field with the Branch details.

The smart values can be found on the documentation below:

Smart values – development

When creating a new automation rule, there is a section called DevOps where you can select the “Branch created” trigger, and then, the action you need to select “Edit issue” and select the text field to add the details.
