Notifications for no time logged within 24 hours

I am trying to determine a way to send individuals a reminder to log time if they forget  within a 24 hour period on tickets. I have tried using multiple combinations of JQL queries using "workinglogDate <= -1d" and "timespent is empty", but nothing seems to get it just right.

Is there an easier way to accomplish what I am trying to do and I am just overcomplicating this?

not precisely limited to work log but maybe a simply subscription to the team based upon the following jql?

project = myproject and updated <= -1d and resolution is empty
