How can I add specific permissions for a specific user group for different projects such as viewer, or editor of issues?
I've done it before but seems like settings have been changed.
Perhaps you're seeing the different types of settings between Next-Gen projects and Classic projects?

Do you maybe mean the project roles? You can assign a project role to specific permissions on the permissions scheme (classic project) and then for each project assign different users or groups to those project roles.
