Hi,
how can i remove the create Button on a public space in Confluence cloud?
Go through all the spaces and look at the permissions, making sure you have not got "anonymous" access allowed.
The button only appears for people who have create/edit rights in at least one space.
Hey!
but I would like to give anonymous access. It’s a public wiki
My anonymous Settings are ony allowed to "Access (Anzeigen)" nothing else
We also want to use the feature:
Have a documentation page with anonymous READ-ONLY access.
The users then should not see a "create" Button. If they click on it it tells that there are no rights to creat something
--> From a usability perspective this is poor! Why should a user see a button which is useless?
I have the same question as a couple years ago. Why do anonymous users who only have viewing rights, see a +create button? If they click the button, they receive a pop-up which says they are not allowed to create something.
Same for me. The permissions are set only to "Display" (Anzeigen) for Anonymous, nothing else but the button is still there. If clicked a sub menu offers "Page" and if again clicked i get an error message about missing permissions.
I like to hide the button for better UX reasons.
