Jira API3 StartAt not working with any number except 0

Question

Hi,

I'm using Alteryx to query against our Cloud Jira API. In this instance it will only pull data whenever I stipulate that it must startAt = 0.

However, using a different number will always result in an error (400 Bad Request) and I'm not sure how or why this is occuring.

Code appears as;

JQL:Project=11317,startAt:0,maxResults:100,fields:[],expand:[names]

I've dropped Max & Fields and left the project, but it doesn't seem to help in anyway.

Any help or thoughts would be great.

Fix for Alteryx;

Be wary of multiple calls and the ID number for columns resetting to 0.

I got it working this morning. It was a quirk in how the data was extracting from the API itself.

I'm not familiar with Alteryx, I generally use C# or Excel VBA, but I'll try to help you.

The line in your question

JQL:Project=11317,startAt:0,maxResults:100,fields:[],expand:[names]

that's the input correct? Not the output?

What API call are you trying?

Are you sure that there are more results than what you're setting startAt to?

Can you give a screenshot of the error message when it fails?
