Does cumulative flow diagram consider deleted issues?

Hi, I am using Jira classic project. It seems like deleting issues does not reduce the number of issues in the CFD... Does anyone know how the exact behavior is supposed to be or if there are any settings that I can use to adjust this behavior?

I can't find any information about it in the CFD documentation, however I guess it is the expected result, at least this is how it worked on my instance.

So the expected result would be that deleting issues leads to a decreasing chart, right?

Hi @JAKE

I recommend not deleting issues, and instead add a custom field to mark them as Abandoned.  Deleted is gone forever in Cloud version; no undo is available and backup/restore is cumbersome.  Using something like Abandon allows teams to remove those issues from boards and reports using filters *and* the Abandoned issues may still be viewed as needed.
