Jira REST API - search for issues using JQL (GET) is returning null value for custom field

Question

I want to get list of issues with custom fields of my projects using Jira REST APi:

https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v3/api-group-issue-search/#api-rest-api-3-search-get

I am requesting GET /rest/api/3/search with query parameters:

* jql=project%3D10004
* fields=key,summary,status,issuetype,customfield_10016,customfield_10046

Below is part of the response where customfield_10046 is null.

But actually value in Jira is 123 for this field:

Here are deatils for my custom fields retrieved via REST API (GET /rest/api/3/field).

Jira build-it field "Story points estimate":

And my custom field "TCh Priority":

That way I added this custom field to my project:

Any ideas why I am getting null value for my custom field "TCh Priority" while build-in custom field "Story point estimate" has correct value?

Unfortunately we are integrating our software with our customers' projects so we can not force them to use one or the other project style.

Is is at all possible to get list of project scoped custom fields (and later read/update its values) via REST API?

Dear @Janusz Noszczyński ,

The /rest/api/3/field is a global call that cannot return project scope fields.

Due to the nature of next-gen projects and there ongoing implementation, I recommend to change your project and its custom fields into the "classic" mode,

This makes things easier with the API. Less frustration.

@Thomas Deiler - it is definitely related to next-gen projects.

According this post: https://blog.developer.atlassian.com/next-gen-projects-jira-cloud I should be able to get list of my scoped issue fields as well:

"Scoped entities have a scope object in the JSON response with a field named type and value “project” that indicates that is project scoped."

What is proper way of getting all fields (including scoped) from Jira? I tried as in documentation:

* https://your-domain.atlassian.com/rest/api/3/field
* and https://your-domain.atlassian.com/rest/api/3/field/search

But none of those is returning scoped fields...
