New issue view does not show issue description

In our jira instance, the issue description does not appear in the new issue view.

In the old view it appears fine.

There are no fields hidden in the Project settings/Issue layout.

Does anyone know what is wrong?

Maybe I'm going blind but I don't see the Description field anywhere in your layout.
