Removes or changes file extensions when downloading attachments

Question

I have uploaded attachments to Jira tickets in a next-gen software project. However, when I try to download them, Jira either changes the file extension or removes it totally.

A few examples:

*  I uploaded .wav file, when downloaded it had no extensions, just a file.
* Uploaded picture (.jpg) when downloaded it became .jpg.crdownload

Is this just for me, or is it a known bug?

This appears to be an old defect, which was fixed and has re-appeared.  You can watch it and vote for it at the link below:

The work-around is to disable the new Jira issue view.
