Cannot add inline comments to attached files to page

Hello All!

Could you please help to resolve the issue.

We cannot add pinned (inline) comments to attached files to pages (no matter what page title or file title or format) - when the pin icon from the bottom is dragged on the image of the preview the menu to add comments is displayed and the user name and the spinner just goes eternally and there is no any other action:

There are also errors in the console:

Can you please tell what the issue can be?

Instance - Confluence Cloud
No 3-rd party addons
No custom configuration - all OOB

Hello @Vsyl Petrenko !

As I understand, you are currently unable to add comments to attachments while using our Legacy Editor (tinyMCE) attachment preview.

I tried to replicate it but was unable to do so. Here is what I see:

Looking through some of our reports, I was able to find this bug:

[Confluence Cloud] No longer able to add inline comments on attachments when accessing the files via "Attachments" section of a page

You can try and apply the workaround found in the bug report itself! Let us hear from you.
