Boards are views of a set of issues, selected by the board filter. Not dynamically generated arbitrary views.
You may configure your board's Quick Filters queries like:
quick-filter.jpg
And apply that filter to the issues displayed in your board with one click:
tasks.jpg
Thanks, but I would like the tasks to see only from the epic I have just viewed, not from all...would appreciate any other ideas.
The backlog let's you combine both Quick Filters with Epics:
