How do I link issues on jira cloud to bitbucket cloud repository

Question

I've spent 3 hours this morning trying to get this to work, it should be easy!

I am using this tutorial: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/connect-jira-cloud-to-bitbucket-cloud-814188428.html

If you're connecting a Jira Software project:

* Choose 
Settings > Projects.

* Select the project you want to connect with.

* In the project sidebar, choose Add item.

* Enter the Bitbucket repo's URL you want to connect.

Once the link is created, choose Integrate Bitbucket to sync your Jira and Bitbucket accounts.

Once the link is created where does this Integrate Bitbucket option appear! Its not clear any help I look for the menu system has changed in the posts on how to do this.

All I want is to link jira issues to commits!

Nope, just go into your project settings like I mentioned in my earlier comment. ☺

The project is a software project, this is so frustrating, do I need to delete the project and start again.

Surely this is a basic task and one that people pick jira and bit bucket for...

No problem! I'm trying to figure out how to always get that prompt:

* In my Service Desk projects, I can only add Shortcuts.
* In my Software projects, I get prompted to choose between Shortcuts, Repositories, etc., then after adding a Repo, I only see the Shortcut prompt.

One of these days I'll figure it out... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
