How to download a .csv to an iPad?

My team uses Jira to host files for a project and we have .CSV files saved to an issue however when I go to download the file on my iPad browser (either Safari or Chrome) the result is served up as an HTML file and not a CSV.

Is there a workaround to this?

Hi Angélica,

It appears to be an issue when using safari / chrome apps to access jira. Using the Jira app seems to allow the download to save as the correct filetype.

Safari will save it as a .csv.html and Chome will simply open the csv in a separate window and now allow it to be saved as a comma-separated values file.

I suppose I will use the app going forward.

I was able to test on an iPad emulator and instead of download the CSV, it opens a new tab. Is it the same behavior on your iPad?

Have you tested using the Jira app instead of the browser?

If you have an iPhone, can you please test to check if it downloads correctly?
